DISHA ARAMBH Towards Humanism (DATH) is a pan-India Non-Profit Organization, formed with the guiding motto of being a helping hand in ameliorating the lives of downtrodden sections of the society in general and women and child welfare in particular. Imparting vocational training to the weaker stratum of the society is one of the highlights of our organization, aimed at injecting the sense of self dependence and reliance in the target sections, with the over-arching goal of enabling them to lead a life of self-dignity and happiness. The aims and objectives for which the society is established are broadly
as under:
- To promote National Integration, Communal Harmony, Universal Brotherhood and Global Peace.
- To promote and advocate Human Rights and Fundamental Freedom for all without any discrimination of race, religion, caste, color, sex and language.
- To develop and mobilize Community and Natural Resources to give the right direction to people of the marginalized and economically weaker section of the society for their sustainable overall development.
- To work with special focus on the Child & Women Welfare.

- To explore ways for promotion of socioeconomic development in the community and initiating watershed, road construction, proper water supply and enhancing civic amenities.
- To establish, promote, set up, run, maintain, assist, finance support and/ or aid to or help in the setting up and /or maintaining and /or running other institution orphanages, handicapped widows, homes, lunatic asylums, poor houses, or other establishments for relief and /or help to the poor, old and infirm people and/ or destitute.
- To initiate and promote health care by organizing medical camps, blood donation camps and eye donation camps for the general public.
- To promote aid and undertake programs of house hold cottage and Khadi and Gramodyog industries; forest and mineral development of local handicraft and other industries for providing self-employment.
- To impart free education to the poor, helpless and needy children/students.
- To protest and fight against the injustice against people by sensitizing them and initiating campaign against such issues as hoarding of essential items; sale and distribution of out-dated spurious drugs; counterfeit currency, food adulteration, bribery and any other anti-social activity which aims at duping common people of their money and resources and betraying the country; and bringing such issues before right forum so as to ensure justice to the aggrieved and bringing the culprits to trial.
- To start and assist the relief measures in those parts of the country which become effected to natural calamities like famine, drought, fire, flood, earthquakes etc.
- To fight against HIV/AIDS and other communicable diseases.
- To work for Environmental Protection, Forestation, Plantation, Waste Land Management, Watershed Development, Micro-irrigation, Drip-irrigation, Horticulture, Social Forestry, Pisciculture, Silviculture, Aviculture, etc.
- To provide medical, emotional, psychological, social and medical support to senior citizens of our society by setting up various drop-in centres, senior citizen homes, old-age homes and other entertainment centres so that these highly honorable people should not be neglected.
- To establish, build or manage Hostels, Short Stay Homes, Rehabilitation Centers, Shelters, Crèches, Child Care Centre or Children’s Home, Counseling Centers and Help Line Centers for Women, Children, Old aged persons, Drug addicts and needy persons.
- To work for welfare & support for the families of Martyrs and Prisoners.
- To save or protect National Heritage, Buildings or Places of the archeological & historic importance.
